What is Pelvic Floor Dysfunction?

Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, or “PFD” is a condition in which a person has difficulty coordinating and/or controlling their pelvic floor muscles. PFD affects many women, especially as a result of pregnancy, childbirth, trauma such as a fall, car accident or sexual abuse, surgery, obesity, or other pelvic conditions including endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, or pelvic organ prolapse.

Dr. Wrigley is highly dedicated and compassionate when it comes to women’s health issues.
